What needs to be done before installing the belt conveyor?

What preparations need to be made before installing the belt conveyor? Yeqin Conveying Technology provides you with the following specific preparations:
1. Positioning the belt conveyor: First determine the position of the head and tail, and then determine the center line of the belt conveyor. Laying the middle trough: Lay the middle trough according to the determined center line of the conveyor. If a non-metallic trough box is used, the middle trough is paved with bricks and cement prefabricated panels, and then bonded with cast stone linings. When laying the cast stone lining, pay attention to straightness, as few joints as possible, and staggered longitudinal gaps to prevent the gaps from being worn into grooves during work.
2. The surface of the conveyor needs to be laid straight. If there is too much curvature in the plane of the conveyor, it will inevitably lead to uneven force on the two chains, accelerate the wear between the chain and the cast stone of the trough wall, and even jam the chain. The overlap of each section of the trough should be flat and without steps. Due to the structural limitations of the trough itself, the deflection of adjacent middle troughs in the vertical direction should not be too large. If the conveyor is not laid straight, the transportation power consumption will increase. The accumulated coal or debris on the machine path should be swept away.
3. Install the head and tail: There should be a certain space between the head and tail for easy maintenance and repair. The center line of the sprocket should be perpendicular to the center line of the conveyor and ensure horizontality. Install the scraper chain: The scraper chain should be pre-connected before installation, and the scrapers should be evenly distributed in the chain. If there are two chains, choose equal lengths, or assemble them according to the paired chains at the factory. The chain must not be twisted. The weld edge of the round chain faces upward to prevent the chain and sprocket from being clamped.
4. Inspection and idling: After the belt conveyor is installed, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out and the conveyor should be started. Idle operation for 2 hours mainly checks whether the drive device and scraper are operating normally. At the same time, make the adjacent middle grooves close together, tighten the chain again, and adjust the chain length. In the first two weeks of the operation of the belt conveyor, special attention should be paid to the tightness of the chain.
The inspection method is: if there is a drive device at the tail, then jog the drive device. When there are more than two completely loose chain links on the upper strand of the tail sprocket, tighten the chain or remove the chain to reduce the chain link length. If there is only a head drive device, the motor needs to be reversed and jog. When there are more than two completely loose chain links on the upper strand of the chain at the head sprocket, tighten the chain or remove the chain to reduce the link.
